Winter Holiday Schedule

Town Hall will be closed December 31 and January 1 in observance of New Year holiday. 

 

Recycling & Trash Collection -  Regular scheduled pick-up will resume on December 30th 2019.  

Christmas Tree and Greenery - Don’t heave your holiday greenery to the curb after you are done with the holiday festivities.  Christmas trees, wreaths and other cut greenery can be transformed into compost, mulch or wildlife habitat. All ornaments, decorations, tinsel, nails and tree stands must be removed and then these greenery items can be taken to one of locations listed below to be composted or repurposed.  

Prince William County Landfill at 14811 Dumfries Road in Manassas.  Monday - Saturday, 6 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sunday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.  The facility is closed New Year's Day. www.pwcgov.org/trashandrecycling

Balls Ford Road Compost Facility located at 13000 Balls Ford Road in Manassas. Monday - Saturday, 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sunday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.  The facility is closed New Year's Day. www.pwcgov.org/trashandrecycling

Leesylvania State Park located at 2001 Daniel K. Ludwig Drive in Woodbridge (off Neabsco Road). Trees may be dropped off at Shelter 2 and will be used for habitat.

Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative (NOVEC) located at 5399 Wellington Branch Road in Gainesville.  December 26 – January 13.  The drop off area is located in the front parking lot in the area outlined with the orange safety cones.  NOVEC will deliver the wood-chip mulch to interested customer-owners at no charge, visit www.novec.com/mulch.

The 2019 Town of Haymarket Collectible Ornament featuring St. Paul's Episcopal Church

and the re-release of the 2018 Town of Haymarket Collectible Ornament

 

The 2019 Town ornament features one of our oldest structures in Town, St. Paul's Episcopal Church.  The Church was formerly the old District Courthouse, an Academy and survived the fires following the Civil War.  The town has re-released a limited amount of the 2018 Town of Haymarket Christmas Ornament.  Ornaments are available for pick up at 15000 Washington Street during business hours.  

Town Meetings

The first Town Council Meeting of 2020 will be held on January 6 at 7:00 pm.  Meetings are open to the public.  Citizens are encouraged to attend.  Meetings are held in Town Hall located at 15000 Washington Street, Suite 100 the first Monday of each month and can be viewed live on our website, townofhaymarket.org.
