Brian Henshaw, Town Manager
Brian Henshaw just started with the Town in May of 2013 as Town Manager and is very excited about the opportunities that Haymarket provides their residents by offering all the modern needs of a growing community while maintaining its small town charm. Brian has served in municipal government for over 12 years in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. He started with the Northern Shenandoah Valley Regional Commission after graduating from Radford University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a focus on Public Administration. In 2007, he completed his Masters Degree from Walden University in Public Administration with a focus in Public Management. Born and raised in Winchester, Virginia, Brian has become accustomed to seeing the positive and negative effects of rapid growth. Brian is a member of the Virginia Municipal League (VML), the Virginia Local Government Managers Association (VLGMA), and American Planning Association (APA). He is also a LEAD graduate of 2009 through the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at UVA. Brian is looking forward to the opportunity to work with the elected officials, residents and staff to find ways to meet the changing needs of the community.
Jennifer Preli, Town Clerk
Born in Kansas City, MO moved to Northern Virginia in 1978.
Jennifer was raised in Burke, Virginia and graduated high school from Lake Braddock Secondary School.
She is the mother of one son, Jake, married to Joseph Ratliff and lives in Linden, Virginia.
Jennifer was hired by the Town in February 2003. She is a Certified Municipal Clerk and
custodian of the Town Seal and all Town records.
Sherrie Wilson, Deputy Clerk/Acting Treasurer
Born in Leesburg, VA, Sherrie's traveled much in her life due to
her Father being a Pastor for a Church. But she mainly stayed
in Northern Virginia, which she calls home. She brings to the
Town over 25 years of office experience. She currently is the
Clerk to the Planning Commission, the Town's Tax Collector,
Permitting, AR & AP, Web Site Administrator, and currently appointed as the
Town's Acting Treasurer.
Denise Hall, Administrative Assistant
Born in Johnstown, PA moved to Northern Virginia in 1980.
Denise was raised in Falls Church, Virginia were she graduated from Falls Church
High School. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communication
from George Mason University. Denise has served as an Assistant Project Manager,
Substitute Teacher for Prince William County Schools and is an active member
of both Ronald Reagan Middle and Buckland Mills Elementary PTSO’s.
With her she brings over 25 years of Customer Service to the Town.
Denise resides in Haymarket with her two children, daughter, Ciera Marie and son, Sean Michael.
Holly Montague, Town Engineer
Holly was born in Fairfax, VA and has lived in Virginia
most of her life. She graduated from Virginia Tech Cum Laude,
with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1993, and became
a Virginia Professional Engineer in 2000. She has been the Town's Engineer
since 2005, and also became the Town's Erosion & Sediment Control
Program Administrator in January of 2013.

The Clerks' Office is open Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
There are three Notary Public's in our office. When you bring in your document, bring a Photo ID, and make sure you sign it in front of the Clerk, not beforehand.
