Town of Haymarket’s School Children Outreach with Police Events program

The Town of Haymarket and the Haymarket Police Department plan to launch our SCOPE program.  The summer can be a wonderful time for parents to plan how to involve their children in safe activities.  The Police Department wishes to instill a positive image to our children and youth in our community and invite them to become a sponsor or contributor to the SCOPE program.

The SCOPE program is an opportunity for us to provide a safe environment for our children in which to participate in activities that are fun and non-threatening.  SCOPE, in coordination with crime prevention efforts, can help the Police Department communicate better with the community about safety in general, get parents involved in their children’s activities, and even contribute to their children’s well being and self-esteem.

It is up to all of us to make the contribution of our time and resources to protect our children.  We are certain that through SCOPE, we believe that by offering programs of activities and services to ensure that the children of our community a safe place to go and join other children free of negative influences.  This can be achieved by guidance and support of our community under the discretion of the Haymarket Police Department.
